Persaingan industri bisnis telekomunikasi khususnya layanan Tower
Sharing yang semakin ketat seiring dengan munculnya pendatangpendatang
baru dalam industri ini, ditambah dengan variasi permintaan
dari klien, mengharuskan PT. Protelindo sebagai perusahan Tower
Provider untuk melakukan optimalisasi strategi bisnis, dengan cara
mengidentifikasi posisi perusahan terhadap industri; pencapaian apa saja
yang telah diperoleh dan yang belum, faktor apa yang kemudian
menjadi penghambat serta langkah apa yang bisa ditempuh untuk
optimalisasi dimaksud. Untuk mendukung tujuan analisa tersebut
digunakan Porter Five Forces dan IE Matriks sebagai alat filterisasi
MASUKAN untuk mengetahui posisi perusahan, selanjutnya Analisa
SWOT, Matriks BCG dan Strategi Besar yang digunakan sebagai alat
untuk PENCOCOKAN, mencari rekomendasi rekomendasi strategistrategi
yang sesuai dengan hasil identifikasi awal, dan untuk tahapan
KEPUTUSANnya sendiri digunakan Matriks Perencanaan Strategi
Kuantitatif, dimana diperoleh Penetrasi Pasar sebagai strategi bisnis
yang paling tepat untuk diimplementasikan saat ini oleh PT. Protelindo
dengan cara meningkatkan promosi, pendekatan ke klien, dan membuat diferensiasi layanan.
