Industri telekomunikasi mengalami peningkatan demand data yang sangat signifikan yakni hingga akhir 2011 akan ada 6,07 miliar koneksi melalui seluler di seluruh dunia atau setara dengan 84% penduduk dunia. Pada Juli 2010, jumlah mobile internet sudah mencapai 5 miliar pengguna atau setara dengan 74% populasi, bertumbuh signifikan jika dibandingkan estimasi 2008 yang tercatat 4 miliar atau 64% dari total polulasi. Artinya, kini satu dari tiga penduduk dunia telah online. Konverensi adalah Kemampuan jaringan yang berbeda dalam membawa layanan yang serupa (misal suara melalui IP (VoIP) atau Switched Network, video melalui TV kabel atau ADSL, atau kemungkinan lain, kemampuan untuk memberikan macam layanan dalam satu jaringan tunggal yang disebut “triple play” Selama dua dekade terakhir, sebagian besar pasar telekomunikasi mencapai , banyak dengan titik puncak regulasi meliputi regulator terpisah, kompetitif dan privatisasi pada penelitian ini mengunakan metode benchmark untuk membandingkan badan regulasi dengan negara sampel India, Indonesia, Malaysia, dan Singapura meliputi sisi keefektifan regulator, statistik pertumbuhan ICT. Tujuan yang hendak dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah :mencari penyebab ketertinggalan pertumbuhan ICT di Indonesia, mengetahui seberapa efektif regulator di Indonesia dibandingkan dengan negara – negara di kawasan ASEAN.Downloads
