Evaluasi Kualitas Informasi Sistem ERP Studi Kasus pada PT XYZ

Evolusi sistem informasi ditandai dengan pengembangan pendekatan baru untuk mengakses informasi yang dipengaruhi oleh evolusi bahasa, budaya, dan juga perilaku. Namun perkembangan cepat teknologi informasi tidak diimbangi oleh kualitas informasi yang dihasilkan, sehingga muncul berbagai permasalahan. Oleh karena itu evaluasi atas kualitas informasi yang dihasil perlu dilakukan untuk menilai apakah sistem yang telah diimplementasikan memberikan para penggunanya informasi yang sesuai dengan harapan atau tidak. Miller (1996) mengatakan bahwa dalam melakukan penilaian terhadap kualitas informasi diperlukan 2 langkah yaitu (1) menyorot atribut yang penting dan (2) menentukan bagaimana atribut ini penting bagi pengguna. Kriteria yang ditemukan dari hasil studi literatur adalah subject menekankan pada pemahaman pengguna atas informasi, object menilai bagaimana sistem dapat menghasilkan informasi yang mudah diakses, komplit serta aktual, sedangkan process memberikan penilaian mengenai bagaimana informasi dapat disampaikan secara cepat, tepat waktu dan akurat. Kriteria-kriteria tersebut digunakan untuk mengevaluasi kualitas informasi sistem ERP pada PT XYZ, dimana para pengguna menilai baik kualitas informasi yang dihasilkan, yaitu 100% untuk kriteria subject, 92% pada kriteria object, dan 88% untuk kriteria process. Dengan hasil evaluasi ini disimpulkan bahwa sistem telah menghasilkan informasi sesuai dengan harapan pengguna
