Perencanaan Perencanaan produksi merupakan suatu kegiatan yang harus dilakukan sebelum proses produksi dimulai. Perencanaan produksi tidak hanya menyangkut mengenai apa yang diproduksi, melainkan ada beberapa hal yang harus dilakukan. Salah satunya merencanakan kebutuhan bahan untuk produksi. PT. X merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak pada bidang aksesoris otomotif. Dalam proses produksinya, PT. X mengalami kesulitan dalam pengendalian stok bahan baku karena stok bahan yang berlebih. Pemesanan kepada pemasok dilakukan tanpa adanya analisa yang akurat. Untuk itu PT. X memerlukan metode analisa penghitungan kebutuhan bahan sebelum proses produksi dimulai. metode yang dilakukan yaitu MRP (material requirement planning). Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menentukan Jadwal Induk Produksi (JIP). Kemudian menentukan struktur produk stok bahan baku yang diperlukan untuk membuat satu produk jadi. Melakukan konversi dari jumlah Jadwal Induk Produksi (JIP) menjadi “kebutuhan bersih”. Selanjutnya membandingkan kebutuhan yang ada dengan jumlah stok yang ada. Dan menghasilkan informasi mengenai kapan dan berapa jumlah stok bahan yang harus dipesan kepada pemasok. Untuk mempermudah penghitungan, maka dibuat aplikasi berbasis web yang memiliki fungsi dalam melakukan peramalan stok dengan metode MRP. Hasil dari aplikasi MRP pada PT.X adalah menurunnya jumlah stok bahan di gudang mencapai 50%.
