Penerapan Algoritma Kriptografi AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) dan Algoritma Kompresi RLE (Run Length Encoding) Untuk Pengamanan File Dokumen

File Dokumen merupakan data yang bersifat sensitif dimana sering adanya pencurian dan disalah gunakan hingga merubah isi dari file tersebut. Dalam penyimpanan oleh individu ataupun suatu organisasi tertentu file tersebut disimpan dalam suatu komputer atau sistem database. Maraknya pencurian data berupa file dokumen penting yang terjadi pada perusahaan besar atau individu tentunya sudah jelas melanggar undang-undang yang berlaku. Sehinga pihak-pihak yang tidak bertanggung jawab tersebut mendapatkan keuntungan dari pencurian data. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan atau pengamanan citra digital yaitu file dokumen dengan hasil yang lebih efisien dengan menggunakan kombinasi algoritma AES pada proses enkripsi dan algoritma RLE pada proses kompresi. Algoritma AES digunakan sebagai proses enkripsi dan dekripsi file tersebut, sedangkan algoritma RLE digunakan sebagai proses kompresi dan dekompresi. Penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa file dokumen setelah melalui proses percobaan berupa pengamanan, waktu, ukuran, dan perubahan serta keutuhan file tersebut mendapatkan hasil bahwa file aman dengan tidak terbacanya file tersebut sebelum melalui proses buka dan mereduksi ukuran 2 sampai 10 persen saja serta dengan rata-rata proses eksekusi yang cuku cepat dan stail sesuai dengan ukuran file asli. Sementara untuk pengecekan keutuhan dan perubahan menggunakan checksum file dokumen tidak mengalami perubahan.
