Di era saat ini, Arsitektur lansekap dituntut untuk lebih berkontribusi dalam membangun lingkungan perumahan permukiman dan perkotaan yang teteap ramah bagi ekosistem sekitarnya. Di lingkungan perumahan saat ini, mulai dari
tingkat Rukun Tetangga (RT) hingga Rukun Warga (RW), telah banyak digalakkan peneneman apotik hidup. Apotik hidup adalah pemanfaatan sebagian tanah untuk ditanami tanaman obat-obatan untuk keperluan sehari-hari. Salah satu lingkungan perumahan yang memiliki lahan apotik hidup adalah lingkungan RT 06 RW 08, Kelurahan Jatiraden, Kota Bekasi. Melihat hal tersebut, program studi Arsitektur tergerak untuk turut menyumbangkan wawasan keilmuan dalam
bidang Arsitektur Lansekap. Bentuk pengabdian yang akan dilakukan adalah pembuatan lansekap taman tanaman apotik hidup. Pada kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang akan dilakukan ini akan berfokus pada pengikutsertaan
masyarakat dalam pembuatan media tanam tanaman apotik hidup yang berbahan material bambu yang mudah
didapatkan.
