ANALISIS PENGARUH PERUBAHAN SUDUT PIPA SIPHON TERHADAP PERFORMASI TURBIN HYDROCOIL DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE COMPUTATIONAL FLUID DYNAMIC (CFD)

Dengan dibangunnya waduk, dibangun pula saluran irigasi untuk lahan pertanian. Saluran tersebut dapat diintegerasikan dengan pemanfaatan waduk sebagai sumber energi listrik tenaga air dengan menggunakan sistem Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mikro Hidro (PLTMH), dengan catatan tidak boleh mengganggu atau merusak waduk, terutama tanggul waduknya. Pemanfaatan tersebut dapat dicapai menggunakan konfigurasi pipa siphon sebagai penstock. Turbin yang digunakan dalam sistem PLTMH tersebut adalah turbin hydrocoil, turbin ulir dengan panjang pitch yang berubah searah aliran air. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada pengaruh perubahan sudut pipa siphon terhadap performasi turbin hydrocoil. Pada penelitian ini, variasi sudut pipa siphon adalah 45o dan 90o. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD). Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa sudut kemiringan pipa siphon 45o memberikan performasi turbin hydrocoil yang lebih baik dibandingkan sudut kemiringan pipa siphon 90o.Downloads
