OPTIMASI SISTEM PENGKONDISIAN UDARA PADA KERETA REL LISTRIK

Perusahaan Kereta Rel Listrik sebagai penyedia jasa transportasi kereta rel listrik, memposisikan dirinya sebagai salah satu perusahaan yang bertanggungjawab atas mobilitas orang banyak. Faktor kenyamanan pada kereta rel listrik sangat diperlukan, salah satunya adalah kenyamanan kondisi temperatur dan kelembaban udara pada kereta, yang dapat diperoleh melalui teknik pengkondisian udara (AC) menggunakan mesin pendingin. Oleh karena itu diperlukan suatu sistem pengkondisian udara pada kereta yang bekerja secara efektif dan efisien pada setiap waktu.
Perhitung beban pendinginan ini dilakukan untuk memperoleh desain yang optimal dari sistem pengkondisian udara kereta rel listrik dengan terlebih dahulu menghitung beban pendinginan menggunakan metode yang tepat. Data perhitungan didapat dari 3 sumber yaitu Perusahaan Kereta Rel Listrik, BMKG dan hasil pengambilan data sendiri.
Berdasarkan hasil dari perhitungan, suhu optimal pada kereta rel listrik yaitu sebesar 22 – 26 oC dan beban pendinginan maksimum pada kereta rel listrik yaitu sebesar 45,276 kW, maka mesin pendingin pada kereta rel listrik ini dipastikan mampu untuk mengatasi beban pendinginanya, dikarenakan kapasitas mesin pendingin ini yaitu sebesar 48,72 kW, yang artinya lebih besar dari beban pendinginannya.
