PENGARUH DESAIN DAPUR TERHADAP HOUSEHOLD AIR POLLUTION

Tingkat polusi di perkotaan yang buruk mendorong masyarakat untuk beraktivitas di dalam ruang. Pada unit hunian, dapur merupakan ruangan yang paling berpotensi memberikan polutan berbahaya bagi penghuninya. Penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya telah banyak menemukan dampak setiap polutan udara yang dihasilkan dari proses memasak terhadap kesehatan manusia. Beberapa polutan udara tersebut dapat berdampak fatal hingga kematian. Pada penelitian ini, beberapa studi kasus unit hunian rumah susun dianalisis untuk melihat gambaran umum kondisi unit rumah susun di Indonesia terhadap kriteria desain dapur sehat. Review literatur dilakukan terhadap penelitian-penelitian yang telah dilakukan untuk mendapatkan kriteria-kriteria dapur sehat. Hasil penelitian ini berupa rumusan rekomendasi desain dapur yang dapat diterapkan pada dapur-dapur unit rumah susun eksisting dan unit rumah susun yang akan dirancang di masa yang akan datang. Diharapkan, hasil dari penelitian ini dapat membantu arsitek, insinyur bangunan, dan pembuat kebijakan untuk mendorong kualitas udara dalam ruangan yang lebih baik dengan menggabungkan langkah-langkah keberlanjutan lingkungan saat merancang atau memperbaharui hunian rumah susun.
