PERKEMBANGAN KOTA LAMA TANGERANG DAN POTENSINYA SEBAGAI DESTINASI WISATA PUSAKA

Kawasan Kota Lama Tangerang termasuk dalam Kawasan Strategis dari sudut Kepentingan Sosial dan Budaya yaitu kawasan bersejarah seluas kurang lebih 30 (tiga puluh) hektar yang berada di Kelurahan Sukasari dan Kelurahan Sukarasa, Kecamatan Tangerang. Di dalam kawasan Kota Lama Tangerang terdapat kawasan inti yang terdiri dari tiga blok utama yaitu Blok Kota Lama, Blok Masjid Agung-Pendopo dan Blok Stasiun Kereta Api. Blok Kota Lama adalah kawasan dengan fungsi/aktivitas yang lebih di dominasi oleh kawasan heritage dengan bangunan cagar budayanya dan permukiman yang masih mempertahankan karakter jalannya dan beberapa rumah yang masih mempertahankan arsitektur Tiongkok. Di dalam Blok Kota Lama terdapat dua blok perkampungan etnis yaitu Blok Perkampungan Tionghoa (pecinan) dan Blok Perkampungan Muslim. Tradisi dan budaya lokal yang dipengaruhi oleh etnis Tionghoa dan etnis Pribumi masih dilestarikan sampai saat ini. Sehingga Kota Lama Tangerang berpotensi untuk dikembangkan sebagai destinasi wisata pusaka. Namun sejalan dengan dinamika Kota Tangerang yang terus berkembang dengan pesat, peninggalan bangunan-bangunan bersejarah telah mengalami perubahan bentuk dan fungsi, penurunan kualitas lingkungan dan bahkan kehancuran. Selain itu Pemerintah Kota Tangerang belum mempunyai Perda Cagar Budaya. Kondisi tersebut menyebabkan kawasan Kota Lama Tangerang kehilangan nilai-nilai historisnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi perkembangan Kota Lama Tangerang dan potensinya sebagai destinasi wisata pusaka. Pendekatan yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini berparadigma pada pendekatan induktif dan metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Blok Kota Lama memiliki pusaka budaya ragawi, pusaka budaya tak ragawi dan pusaka alam yang berpotensi untuk dikembangkan menjadi objek wisata pusaka. Blok Kota Lama memiliki beberapa benda cagar budaya yang ditetapkan oleh Balai Pelestarian Peninggalan Purbakala Serang (BP3S) diantaranya yaitu Kelenteng Boen Tek Bio, Rumah Arsitektur Cina (Museum Benteng Heritage), Masjid Jami dan Makam Kalipasir. Perkembangan Blok Perkampungan Pecinan saat ini sangat memprihatinkan. Wajah bangunan khas pecinan sebagian besar sudah berubah menjadi bangunan moderen dan bangunan budidaya walet. Hanya tinggal sedikit saja bangunan yang masih berciri khas pecinan.

ABSTRACT
Old Town area of Tangerang included in the Strategic Area of Social and Cultural Interests corner is the historical district of approximately 30 (thirty) hectares located in the Sukasari Village and Sukarasa Village, District Tangerang. In the Old Town area of Tangerang are the core area consists of three main blocks, namely Old Town Block, Grand Mosque Block and Train Station Block. Block of the Old Town is the area with activities dominated by heritage with cultural heritage buildings and settlements that still retains the character of the course and some houses still retain Chinese architecture. In the Old Town Block, there are two ethnic settlement blocks namely Chinatown Block and Muslim Village Block. Tradition and local culture influenced by natives and Chinese ethnic still preserved until today. So the old town of Tangerang can be potential to be developed as a heritage tourism destination. The rapid development of Tangerang city causes historic buildings go through changes in form and function, environmental degradation and destruction. Furthermore, Tangerang City Government does not have heritage legislation. This condition causes the old town of Tangerang losing its historical values. The purpose of this study is to identify the development of the Old Town of Tangerang and its potential as a tourist destination heritage. The research was carried out through field survey and in-depth interview as main data collection and literature study as the secondary one. The results showed Block the Old Town has tangible cultural heritage, intangible cultural heritage and natural heritage which is a potential to be developed for heritage tourism attraction. Block of the Old Town has some of the objects of cultural heritage established by Archaeological Heritage Preservation Hall Serang among which the Boen Tek Bio temple, houses the Chinese Architecture (Museum Benteng Heritage), Jami Mosque and Tomb Kalipasir. Block development Village Chinatown today is very worrying. The face of a typical building of Chinatown largely been turned into a modern building and building swiftlet farming. Only a few buildings stayed still distinctively Chinatown.
