PREFERENSI PERILAKU PENGGUNA RUANG BERDASARKAN SAKRALITAS RUANG STUDI KASUS MASJID GEDHE KAUMAN YOGYAKARTA

Masjid Gedhe Kauman Yogyakarta merupakan ruang religius yang memadukan arsitektur Islam dan budaya Jawa, sehingga penggunaan ruangnya tidak hanya ditentukan oleh fungsi fisik, tetapi juga oleh persepsi pengguna terhadap kesakralan. Penelitian ini berfokus pada preferensi perilaku pengguna ruang berdasarkan sakralitas ruang dengan menggunakan pendekatan perilaku, arsitektur Islam, dan budaya Jawa untuk membaca hubungan antara pola aktivitas, hierarki ruang, dan makna simbolik bangunan. State of the art menunjukkan bahwa penelitian terdahulu lebih banyak membahas sakralitas dalam arsitektur Islam secara umum atau pola ruang masjid Jawa, tetapi belum banyak menjelaskan bagaimana persepsi kesakralan membentuk preferensi perilaku pengguna pada masjid Jawa. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, pemetaan ruang, dan analisis tematik. Pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa ruang utama dipersepsikan sebagai zona paling sakral karena menjadi pusat ibadah, memiliki level lantai tertinggi, pencahayaan lebih temaram, dan elemen arsitektural yang menegaskan orientasi ritual, sedangkan serambi, teras, dan pawestren memiliki tingkat sakralitas yang situasional sesuai waktu, jenis kegiatan, dan aturan pengelolaan ruang. Hasil penelitian menegaskan bahwa preferensi perilaku pengguna dipengaruhi oleh interaksi antara aktivitas ibadah, tata ruang arsitektur Jawa, prinsip arsitektur Islam, dan latar budaya pengguna, sehingga studi ini memperkaya kajian arsitektur masjid berbasis budaya lokal.Downloads
