Analisa Potensi Keunggulan Kompetitif Re-farming Frekuensi 900 MHz

PT. Indosat adalah perusahaan penyedia layanan telekomunikasi dan informasi terkemuka di Indonesia yang menyediakan layanan seluler prabayar dan pascabayar. Indosat juga menyediakan jasa telekomunikasi tetap atau fixed voice termasuk IBD, jasa tetap nirkabel, dan jasa telepon tetap. Sebagai tambahan Indosat merupakan pelopor dalam memperkenalkan layanan jaringan nirkabel yang menggunakan teknologi kecepatan 3,5G HSDPA di Indonesia. Pada tahun 2009 Indosat memperoleh lisensi tambahan frekuensi 3G (second carrier) dari Kementrian Komunikasi dan Informatika, dengan modal ini Indosat menargetkan pangsa pasar yang luas. Sekarang ini merupakan Era Data dan semakin meninggalkan era terdahulu yaitu Era Suara, operator telekomunikassi berlomba-lomba untuk merebut pangsa pasar khususnya Layanan Data. Masyarakat pada umumnya banyak menggunakan layanan data facebook, twitter, streamming maupun video call. Dengan kebutuhan layanan data ini diperlukan suatu inovasi agar semua kebutuhan pelanggan dapat terpenuhi. Keterbatasan frekuensi yang ada menjadi hambatan semua operator untuk meningkatkan jumlah pelanggannya maupun meningkatkan layanan jaringan. Di sisi lain penggunaan frekuensi 900MHz sudah mulai ditinggalkan oleh pelanggannya, dikarenakan layanannya sudah tidak diminati oleh pengguna seluler yang cenderung beralih kelayanan data. Dari permasalahan tersebut maka solusinya yaitu dilakukan re-farming frekuensi yang sudah mulai ditinggalkan oleh pelanggannya yaitu frekuensi 900MHz. Dengan menggunakan analisis Porter 5 Forces ternyata didapatkan bahwa Indosat memiliki potensi keunggulan kompetitif yang tinggi pasca re-farming frekuensi. Hasil analisis ini selanjutnya dapat digunakan oleh Indosat dalam penyusunan strategi bersaing sehingga Indosat dapat merebut pasar pada layanan data.Unduhan
