Focus and Scope

JBUMB Jakarta is an open-access journal that publishes empirical research studies and analyses related to clinical, social, physiological, and industrial in psychological approach perspectives.

(examples include but are not limited to: positive psychology, mental health, belief & expectation, interpersonal relationship, physiologic reaction, health psychology, emotional health,  social support dynamics, socioeconomic, psychological intervention).

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to this journal must follow the focus and scope, and author guidelines of this journal. The submitted manuscripts must address scientific merit or novelty appropriate to the focus and scope. All manuscripts must be free from plagiarism content. All authors are suggested to use plagiarism detection software to do the similarity checking. Editors check the plagiarism detection of articles in this journal by using Turnitin or other plagiarism software (Maximum 15%).

The manuscript submitted to this journal will be peer-reviewed by at least 2 (two) or more expert reviewers. The reviewers give scientific valuable comments improving the contents of the manuscript. Submitted papers are evaluated by anonymous referees by double-blind Peer Review for contribution, originality, relevance, and presentation. The Editor Board shall inform the results of the review as soon as possible, hopefully in 3 months.

The final decision of article acceptance will be made by Editors according to the reviewer's comments. Publication of accepted articles including the sequence of published articles will be made by the Editor in Chief by considering the sequence of accepted date and geographical distribution of authors as well as thematic issues.

Please notice that because of the great number of submissions that Journal Biopsikososial has received during the last few months the duration of the review process can be up to 3 months. Plagiarism scanning will be conducted with the help of Google Scholar and Anti-Plagiarism Software.

Publication Frequency

Jurnal Biopsikososial: Jurnal Ilmiah Psikologi Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Mercubuana (JBUMB) is published bi-annually: In April and October.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Plagiarism Check

The editor always checks the level of similarity or plagiarism using Authenticate. The maximum limit of similarity score that we accept is 20%, while the total percentage of each similarity unit score should not reach more than 3%.

Privacy Statement

Each author and reviewer identity entered in this journal will only be used for purposes in the journal management process, not used for other purposes by other parties outside the journal manager.

Journal History

Jurnal Biopsikososial: Jurnal Ilmiah Psikologi Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Mercubuana (JBUMB) is an open-access journal that publishes empirical research aimed at advancing our understanding of theoretical issues in the field of psychology with an approaches model of biology, psychology, and social aspects that are interrelated and interact with each other to enable research renewal discussions that can generate new ideas in terms of theory and application. JBUMB is currently managed by the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Mercu Buana, Jakarta. Since 2017 JBUMB has officially published both the printed (p-ISSN: 2599-0470) and the online versions of the articles (e-ISSN: 2598-4918).

JBUMB accepts both quantitative and qualitative research from a wide range of scholars, including Indonesian researchers and researchers aboard. We focused on the investigation of clinical, social, physiological, and industrial psychological approach perspectives and seek to develop psychology as both basic science as well an applied science. JBUMB is published bi-annually, in April and October. We welcome submissions from scholars, including students, whose work shares relevance to our focus and scope, the manuscript is written in Bahasa Indonesia or English and follows our author guidelines & manuscript template. JBUMB adheres to the high standard of the publication process by abiding by the double-blind peer review process to maintain a fair and discriminatory submission process. Submissions are open at any time.
