Analisa Sistem Informasi Tugas Akhir Dengan Pendekatan Soft Systems Methodology

Persyaratan untuk menyelesaikan pendidikan di perguruan tinggi oleh seorang mahasiswa adalah menyelesaikan tugas akhir. Dimana pada tugas akhir tersebut mahasiswa melakukan kegiatan penelitian. Laporan tugas akhir pada Sekolah Tinggi ABC memiliki beberapa tahapan yang wajib diikuti, mulai dari pengajunan Idea Concept Paper (ICP), proses bimbingan, pengajuam propoal, dan penyelesain tugas akhir. Meningkatnya jumlah mahasiswa pada setiap tahunnya mengakibatkan naiknya beban kerja admin dalam mengelola administrator dalam pengelolaan tugas akhir. Unit Jurusan aalah unit yang bertugas untuk mengelola administrasi tugas akhir. Kondisi inilah yang menginspirasi untuk memberikan suatu solusi dengan membuat suatu sistem informasi tugas akhir (SITA). Di dalam SITA ini semua pihak yang terkait dengan pengelolaan tugas akhir akan terlibat mulai dari mahasiswanya itu sendiri, dosen, petugas administrator serta eksekutif. Tahapan analisa pada penelitian ini akan menggunakan soft systems methodology (SSM). SSM merupakan proses penyelidikan yang berbasis pada aksi ke dalam situasi bermasalah di dunia nyata, dimana pengguna akan belajar cara mencari tahu tentant situasi untuk mendefinisikan atau mengambil tindakan untuk memperbaikinya. Hasil analisa yang di dapat akan diterjemahkan menjadi desain yang nyata dengan menggunakan use case UML
