PEMBERDAYAAN PETANI MELALUI PENGENALAN BUDIDAYA DAN MANAJEMEN USAHA TANI TANAMAN AREN (Arenga Pinnata Merr) DI KABUPATEN AGAM, SUMATERA BARAT

Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini yaitu untuk memperkenalkan budiyaya pohon Aren (Arenga Pinnata Merr) dan manajemen serta organisasi usaha kelompok tani aren. Mitra yang menjadi subjek atalah petani aren di Nagari Persiapan Gaduik Barat, Kecamatan Tilatang Kamang, Kabupatan Agam, Sumatera Barat. Metode untuk memecahkan permasalahan dilakukan melalui penyuluhan budidaya aren dan manajemen serta organisasi usaha gula aren melalui kelompok tani. Penyuluhan dilakukan oleh tenaga ahli dibidang budidaya dari Universitas Andalas dan bidang manajemen dari Universitas Tarumanagara. Pelaksanaan penyuluhan dilakukan melalui pertemuan metode webinar dengan aplikasi Zoom Meeting. Para petani dikumpulkan di ruang pertemuan Kecamatan Kamang. Target luaran dari penyuluhan ini yaitu: (1) memberikan pengetahuan tentang Teknik budidaya pohon aren untuk meningkatkan produktivitas, dan (2) memberikan pengetahuan tentang manajemen dan organisasi usaha tani gula aren. Luaran yang dihasilkan berupa modul, publikasi, dan poster.
