Penanggulangan Gejala Stres Pasca Melahirkan Melalui Desain Arsitektural Untuk Komunitas Ibu Hebat Jabodetabek

Post-partum Depression atau PPD adalah depresi yang terjadi setelah melahirkan disebabkan oleh ketidakseimbangan zat kimia di otak dan dialami oleh 10% ibu yang melahirkan. Ibu pasca melahirkan dapat mengalami stres dikarenakan beberapa penyebab, salah satunya adalah kualitas tempat tinggal yang kurang nyaman. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan bagi para ibu yang sedang hamil maupun baru saja melahirkan mengenai upaya-upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengurangi stres dan meningkatkan mood mereka. Upaya-upaya ini difokuskan pada penyuluhan dan konsultasi ide-ide penataan ulang ruang dalam dan ruang luar hunian yang sekiranya dapat dilakukan oleh masing-masing ibu. Dari sekitar 15-25 anggota Komunitas Ibu Hebat yang berlokasi di Perumahan Bumi Cimanggis Indah 2 Kota Depok, sebagian besar mengeluhkan beberapa permasalahan di hunian mereka seperti buruknya kualitas pencahayaan dan penghawaan alami, keberadaan vegetasi/penghijauan yang kurang, dan sulitnya aksesibilitas ruang tidur ke fasilitas lain di dalam rumah seperti kamar mandi dan dapur. Tim pengabdian kepada masyarakat kemudian mengusulkan 2 opsi perubahan tata ruang dalam dan luar yang dapat diupayakan para ibu dengan harapan jika hunian mereka lebih sesuai dengan kebutuhan kenyamanan para ibu, maka kualitas kebahagiaan keluarga mereka juga dapat meningkat.
