Media internet dapat membawa dampak yang sangat mengkhawatirkan pada kehidupan sosial masyarakat, politik dan terutamanya pada budaya masyarakat. Untuk itu perlu dilakukan upaya untuk memberikan pemahaman dan
kesadaran kepada remaja terkait penyampaian pesan-pesan melalui media sosial termasuk juga vlog. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah memberikan pemahaman dan menumbuhkan kesadaran remaja di dalam
menyampaikan pesan-pesan melalui media online, terutama media sosial dalam bentuk video atau vlog. target kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah remaja usia 16 sampai dengan 18 tahun, di mana rata-rata rentang usia tersebut adalah duduk di kelas 10 sampai dengan 12 atau yang bersekolah di Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) atau sederajat yang berada di wilayah Meruya Sekatan, Jakarta Barat. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan penyuluhan literasi media vlog melalui media sosial bagi remaja ini dilakukan dengan beberapa rangkaian atau tahapan kegatan, yaitu ceramah, diskusi dan tanya jawab. Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat mengenai literasi penggunaan media sosial, khsusnya pada kegiatan vlogging sangat penting dilakukan sedini mungkin. Hal ini dikarenakan penggunaan alat komunikasi seperti gajet tidak mengnal usia, bahkan anak-anak pun saat ini telah banyak mengenal teknologi ini.
