Dalam rangka meningkatkan kesejahteraan keluarga Indonesia, pemerintah membentuk berbagai lembaga untuk mendukung pelayanan kesejahteraan bagi masyarakat. Salah satunya adalah Rumah Publik Terpadu Ramah
Anak (RPTRA) dan juga lainnya. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, kami melakukan kegiatan yaitu theraplay untuk meningkatkan kesehatan mental pada kelompok umur bina keluarga balita, bina keluarga remaja. Adapun yang
dimaksud dengan Theraplay adalah suatu bentuk intervensi psikologis bagi anak dan keluarga untuk membentuk dan menguatkan hubungan antara orangtua dan anak, yang menumuhkan rasa kepercayaan diri, rasa percaya terhadap
anggota keluarga satu sama lain, dan memiliki interaksi yang menyenangkan. Pelatihan ini bertujuan memberikan pengetahuan mengenai teraplay, jenis jenis kegiatan yang dapat dilakukan oleh ibu dan anak, dan teori mengenai terapi
bermain dengan kesehatan mental. Melalui kegiatan ini, pada awalnya banyak orang tua yang berkeluh kesah bingung dalam menghadapi anak yang tantrum, yang akhirnya berujung kepada marah kepada anak. Hal ini menyebabkan anak
kurang berbahagia dan terganggu kesehatan mentalnya jika terllau sering dimarahi, dan juga berdampak kepada kesehatan mental sang ibu yang sering kali stress dalam melakukan pengasuhan. Melalui materi teraplay yang
disampaikan, kelompok bina keluarag balita menjadi lebih berwawasan dalam hal mengontrol emosi menggunakan metode theraplay.
