Pengguna internet juga dapat memberikan orang lain informasi dengan mengirimkannya secara langsung kepada mereka. Internet dengan jelas mengubah cara orang menerima dan mengirim informasi. Fenomena ini menjadi
begitu penting, karena dinamika konstruksi realitas sosial oleh media menjadi lebih “berimbang” ketika subyek konstruksi itu sendiri tidak saja didominasi oleh media massa arus utama, namun juga media sosial online yang memungkinkan siapa saja terlibat di dalam produksi dan sirkulasi pesannya. Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman dan kesadaran atau yang sering disebut sebagai literasi kepada para remaja yang menggunakan media online, khususnya untuk mendapatkan infomasi mengenai dinamika politik di Indonesia. Pelatihan yang diikuti oleh 40 siswa/i SMK Negeri 2 K ota Bekasi ini menyimpulkan bahwa Media sosial dianggap sebagai media yang penggunaannya mudah, termasuk juga penyebarannya, sehingga siapa saja dapat menggunakannya, diperlukan kesiapan, kesadaran dan pengetahuan yang cukup bagi para penggunanya.
