PERSEPSI INDIVIDU TERHADAP EFEKTIVITAS TRAINING DALAM MENINGKATKAN KINERJA

Manusia bekerja untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hidupnya baik kebutuhan fisiologis maupun kebutuhan yang sifatnya psikologis. Dalam bekerja, setiap pekerjaan memiliki resiko akibat kerja yang berbeda-beda. Bekerja pada perusahaan manufaktur yang menggunakan teknologi dan mesin memiliki resiko terhadap keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran motivasi dalam proses pencarian makna hidup pekerja yang mengalami cacat fisik akibat kecelakaan kerja. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori Motivasi Humanistik dan Makna Hidup dari aliran Logoterapi yang dikembangkan oleh Victor E. Frankl. Subyek penelitian sebanyak tiga orang. Pendekatan penelitian adalah menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah wawancara mendalam dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan motivasi dalam proses pencarian makna hidup subyek dapat dilihat dari motivasi intrinsik maupun motivasi ekstrinsik, serta tingkat kebutuhan (hirarchy of needs) yang berbeda-beda antar subyek. Proses pencarian makna hidup setiap subyek melalui pengalaman tragis (tahap penderitaan), penerimaan diri, dan tahap menemukan makna hidup. Subyek A, B dan C telah mendapatkan makna dibalik peristiwa tragis, dan telah memiliki hikmah dibalik peristiwa tragis yang mereka alami. Subyek A dan B telah menemukan makna hidupnya, sedangkan subyek C belum menemukan makna hidupnya. Subyek A dan B telah menetapkan tujuan, baik jangka panjang dan jangka pendek, hanya subyek C yang baru menetapkan tujuan jangka pendek saja.
