STUDI ANALISIS PENGARUH INTERFERENSI CO-CHANNEL BCCH (BROADCAST CONTROL CHANNEL) TERHADAP KUALITAS SEL SISTEM JARINGAN DCS (DIGITAL CELLULAR SYSTEM) 1800

Jumlah pelanggan telekomunikasi seluler yang terus mengalami perkembangan membuat berbagai operator mendirikan banyak BTS (Base Transceiver System) baru agar dapat melayani pelanggannya yang tersebar luas dimana-mana. Namun penambahan BTS bukanlah solusi total untuk mengimbangi jumlah pelanggan, masalah baru muncul akibat keterbatasan kanal frekuensi yang dimiliki oleh jaringan DCS 1800 sendiri. Karenanya digunakan konsep pengulangan frekuensi yang juga memungkinkan terjadinya interferensi co-BCCH sehingga target KPI yang dimiliki operator tidak tercapai.
Pada penelitian ini dibahas mengenai kualitas sel di lokasi terjadi interferensi co-BCCH, hal ini menyebabkan kualitas sel tidak mencapai target KPI, ditemukan beberapa lokasi low level signal, dan TCH drop yang tinggi. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut kita menggunakan metode penelitian dari hasil drive test di lapangan dan selanjutnya dilakukan optimasi jaringan dengan cara frequency retune dan tilting antenna.
Setelah dilakukan optimasi jaringan, dari hasil drive test after di lokasi interferensi dan juga dari KPI monitoring kita mendapatkan hasil semua indicator sudah mencapai KPI target.
