Abstract--Impact testing is a test to measure the resistance of materials with shock load patents. Impact testing was simulates material operating conditions that are often encountered where the load does not always occur slowly but suddenly happened. The aim of this final project is to create a Charpy impact testing equipment for plastic material with a notching. This impact test equipment is referring to ASTM D 6110-97 standard. In the process of making charpy impact test equipment for plastic materials with notches made with consideration as proof of the results of designing charpy impact test equipment for plastic materials with notches, the components are made with the type of material and size according to the design. The steps in the process of making a charpy impact test maker for plastic material with a notch begin by identifying the drawing of the components to be machined and the assembly process. Manufacturing process using cutting grinders and sawing machines while the machining process uses lathes, milling machines, grinding machines. The welding process uses SMAW welding using the E 6013 Ø 3.2 electrode. The assembly process is the process of uniting components of charpy impact test equipment for plastic material with a notch so that it can function in accordance with the design of the tool.
