Penerapan Association Rule Dengan Algoritma Apriori Pada Analisis Pemilihan Mata Kuliah Pilihan dan Bidang Keahlian Pada Mahasiswa Teknik Industri UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur

Teknik aturan asosiasi ialah pendekatan pembelajaran mesin nonparametrik yang digunakan untuk mendapatkan asosiasi tersembunyi dalam basis data antara variabel. Penelitian ini menganalisis pola preferensi mahasiswa serta mengidentifikasi hubungan atau asosiasi terkait mata kuliah pilihan yang dipilih dengan bidang keahlian atau topik skripsi yang akan dipilih, dan mengidentifikasi keterkaitan antara pilihan mata kuliah pilihan dengan rencana bidang keahlian skripsi yang ditempuh mahasiswa. Data diolah secara manual dan menggunakan software RapidMiner. Langkah pertama yang dilakukan adalah membentuk kombinasi 1 item-set dan menghitung nilai support, tahap itu dilanjutkan hingga pembentukan kombinasi 3 item-set. Dari aturan asosiasi di atas didapatkan 1 pola atau aturan (rules) yang memenuhi minimum confidence sebesar 80%. Dikarenakan hanya terdapat 1 aturan yang memenuhi ketentuan minimum confidence, maka aturan tersebut menjadi asosiasi final. Berdasrkan asosiasi yang memenuhi ketentuan, dapat dikatakan mayoritas mahasiswa sudah mengambil mata kuliah pilihan sesuai dengan rencana bidang keahlian skripsi yang akan diambil.
