EVALUASI KONDISI RUANG KELAS BERDASARKAN PERILAKU ANAK KEBUTUHAN KHUSUS DOWN SYNDROME Studi Kasus: SKH YKDW 01 Kota Tangerang
Abstract
ABSTRAK
Anak down syndrome merupakan anak yang mengalami kelainan dalam proses pertumbuhannya cacat mental dan kelemahan fisik serta memiliki IQ yang relative rendah (IQ 25 - 70). Kelainan ini diakibatkan kromosom 21 dengan berjumlah 3 (pada anak normal berjumlah 2). Pada 17 tahun terakhir jumlah kelahiran anak down syndrome meningkat dengan perbandingan 1:700 dari kelahiran anak down syndrome. Di Indonesia diperkirakan kurang lebih ada 300.000 kasus kelahiran anak down syndrome (3.75%). Hal ini menyebabkan kebutuhan untuk anak down syndrome juga penting, untuk mendapatkan pendidikan kebutuhan khusus.Tetapi anakdown syndrome mengalami hambatan dalam mendapatkan pendidikan sehingga perkembanganya semakin melambat.
Pendidikan luar biasa untuk anak down syndrome adalah pendidikan untuk anak yang memiliki tingkat kesulitan dalam mengikuti proses belajar karena kelainan fisik, emosional, mental sosial dan memiliki potensi kecerdasan.Sehingga dibutuhkan sarana pendidikan yang layak dan memadai untuk anak berkebutuhan khusus. Namun pada saat ini, banyak sarana edukasi yang tidak mempunyai kelayakan dengan kualitas tinggi untuk anak berkebutuhan khusus down syndrome. Terutama pada sarana ruang kelas untuk anak down syndrome. Dimana ruang kelas sebagai wadah dari pengaruh perilaku yang ditunjukan anak kebutuhan khusus down syndrome.

ABSTRACT
Down syndrome children are children who have abnormalities in the growth process of a mental disability and physical weakness and has a relatively low IQ(IQ 25 - 70). The disorder is caused by chromosome 21 with numbering 3(in normal children amounts to 2).In the last 17 years the number of live with Down syndrome increases with the ratio of 1: 700 of the live of a child with Down syndrome.In Indonesia is estimated there are approximately 300,000 cases of birth of children with Down syndrome (3.75%).This led to the need for a child with Down syndrome are also important, especially for special needs education.Therapy Down syndrome children have problems in getting education.
Special education for children with Down syndrome is education for students who have difficulty to learn process because of physical, emotional, mental, social, and have the potential intelligence. And so we need proper facilities and adequate education for children with special needs. At this time, many educational facilities which have no feasibility with high quality for special needs children with Down syndrome. Especially on the means classrooms for children with Down syndrome.Where the classroom as a place of influence behavior that indicated a special needs child with Down syndrome.
