TRANSIT USAGE ALUN–ALUN KOTA TASIKMALAYA SEBAGAI FENOMENA PLACEMAKING

Alun Alun Kota Tasikmalaya merupakan ruang publik di Kota Tasikmalaya yang ramai pengunjung. Paper ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi fenomena placemaking yang terjadi, dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif yang berfokus pada transit usage dalam 4 zona properti yaitu properti rekratif, historis, olahraga dan ekonomis. Temuan menghasilkan 3 faktor utama pemicu fenomena placemaking yang terjadi yaitu faktor connectivity, readability dan walkability pada masing masing zona. Faktor connectivity dipicu oleh keterhubungan alun alun dengan pusat pendidikan juga ekonomi dan jasa. Faktor readability dipicu oleh keberadaan fasilitas berupa taman tugu, ruang terbuka hijau, trek lari dan ruang kuliner dalam 4 zona properti tersebut. Faktor walkability dipicu oleh kemudahan akses alun alun ini dijangkau dengan berjalan kaki dan juga ketersediaan akses bagi semua kalangan (universal use).
