POST-FUNCTIONALISM: ABSTRAKSI TEORI, KONSEPSI METODA, DAN APLIKASINYA DALAM ARSITEKTUR

Dalam pandangan arsitektur modern keindahan muncul semata-mata oleh adanya fungsi dari elemen-elemen bangunan, namun kaum modernist penyokong arsitektur modern diangap gagal menafsirkan pemahaman fungsionalisme itu sendiri. Fungsionalisme kaum modernist terjebak dalam realitas arsitektur yang simplistic, sehingga bentuk yang mereka ciptakan tetap saja merupakan representasi makna bentuk geometris yang telah ada sebelumnya. Post-functionalism hadir dengan menempatkan dialetika sebagai basis teoritis dengan bentuk dan fungsi sebagai variable realita yang setara yang tidak saling memaknai satu sama lain. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk menggali kerangka teoritis post-fungsionalism, konsepsi metode, sampai kepada aplikasinya pada karya arsitektur. Dengan menggunakan metode literature review, penelitian ini menemukan konsepsi dialektika sebagai realitas baru yang meletakkan dua realitas dalam satu kompleksitas yang berlainan atau mungkin berlawanan dan memproduksi bentuk yang berbeda dan meletakkan fungsi ruang secara spontan dalam satu kesatuan dengan metode : Contradiction Of Complexcity Destructive Mutation Consumption The Space.
