ANALISIS PERBANDINGAN PERFORMANSI PROTOKOL ROUTING AODV & DSDV PADA JARINGAN MANET

MANET merupakan sekumpulan node yang membentuk jaringan nirkabel tanpa adanya router terpusat sehingga setiap node dapat berfungsi sebagai router yang meneruskan suatu paket data antar node satu sama lain. Setiap node pada jaringan MANET membutuhkan energi agar dapat berkomunikasi satu sama lain dan apabila energi tersebut habis, maka komunikasi dalam jaringan MANET akan terganggu. Protokol routing sangat berperan penting agar setiap node dapat saling berkomunikasi dengan lancar, sehingga pemilihan protokol routing yang tepat sangat dibutuhkan agar dapat mengoptimalkan fungsi kerja dari node pada MANET. Beberapa protokol routing yang populer digunakan dewasa ini adalah AODV dan DSDV. Penelitian ini berfokus tentang bagaimana konsumsi energi pada jaringan MANET dapat mempengaruhi kinerja protokol routing AODV dan DSDV serta melakukan pengukuran performansi metric dengan tujuan membandingkan performansi kedua protokol routing tersebut untuk mengetahui protokol routing mana yang paling cocok digunakan pada jaringan MANET. Parameter yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu konsumsi energi dan energi yang tersisa serta pengukuran performansi metric, seperti: packet delivery ratio, throughput, dan end-to-end delay dengan skenario yang digunakan yaitu penambahan jumlah node serta peningkatan luas area dari jaringan MANET yang disimulasikan menggunakan NS- 3.
