Sosialisasi teknologi berbasis Aplikasi Bergerak (mobile application) kepada pelaku usaha mikro diperlukan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan mereka dibidang Teknologi Informasi dan terutama untuk memperluas jangkauan
pemasaran serta menciptakan peluang usaha lain yang sejalan dengan usaha yang telah ada. Teknologi yang dikembangkan terkait dengan Teknologi Layanan berbasis lokasi (Location Based Services – LBS) dapat digunakan
untuk mengetahui posisi dari dan data waktu spesifik dari pemilik perangkat, informasi ini diberikan ke server dan akan dikembalikan informasi terkait dengan lokasi maupun produk yang akan ditawarkan. Pelaksanaan pengabdian
masyarakat ini ditargetkan kepada pelaku usaha Mikro ataupun rumahan yang lokasi usahanya berada di wilayah Meruya Selatan Jakarta Barat. Tujuan yang dalam pengabdian ini adalah peserta sosialisasi dapat menerapkan
pengetahuan yang diperoleh untuk meningkatkan daya jual produk mereka di luar lokasi wilayah produksi saat ini sehingga daya saing usaha dapat ditingkatkan. Materi sosialisasi yang diberikan adalah bagaimana mengoptimalkan penggunaan perangkat mobile dan menentukan aplikasi mobile yang sesuai dengan produk yang dijual serta target pasar yang dituju.
