STUDI ANALISA PERFORMANSI PACKET DATA PROTOCOL PADA JARINGAN GENERAL PACKET RADIO SERVICE

PDP merupakan struktur data yang berisi informasi tentang pelanggan ketika user pada kondisi aktif. PDP dapat disebut juga sebagai suatu syarat akses paket data yang digunakan oleh user untuk dapat terkoneksi dengan internet, ketika user menginginkan untuk mengakses internet melalui handset. Suatu PDP diaktifkan secara otomatis melalui pesan ke jaringan (core network) yang dikirimkan dari sebuah handset yang gunakan oleh user. Dalam suatu proses aktivasi PDP sering kali terjadi kegagalan yang disebabkan oleh jaringan ataupun handset yang digunakan oleh user itu sendiri. Oleh karena itu dilakukan proses pengecekkan untuk mengetahui letak kegagalan aktivasi PDP. Proses pengecekkan tanggal 20 Februari 2014 pada kedua RNC (RJKKP3 dan RJKKP4) ke arah SGJKT1 di Site KPPTI lt.3. Perbaikan dilakukan pada tanggal 21 Februari 2014 dengan menggunakan 3 metode berikut diantaranya, sosialisasi dengan user, troubleshoot pada SGJKT1 ke arah RJKKP3 dan RJKKP4, dan refresh SGSN pada database. Setelah dilakukan perbaikan, total rata-rata transaksi kegagalan aktivasi PDP yang semula mencapai 10,05% kini menurun hingga 4,67% dengan rata-rata transaksi yang gagal sebesar 5,38%. sudah mencapai standarisasi KPI yang telah ditetapkan yakni <10% dengan kualitas baik. Total rata-rata aktivasi PDP berhasil dalam 2 sesi yang semula sebesar sebesar 89,95%, kini naik menjadi 94,62%.
