Parental Efficacy pada Orang Tua Tunggal Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus

Orang tua memiliki peran penting dalam perkembangan anak. Tantangan dapat menjadi lebih besar ketika membesarkan anak seorang diri sebagai orang tua tunggal. Apalagi anak yang dibesarkan memiliki kebutuhan khusus tertentu. Sebagai orang tua tunggal yang kehilangan pasangan, menjalankan peran ganda dan berkurangnya dukungan sosial dapat meningkatkan risiko mengalami stres, merasa tidak mampu dan bahkan bisa mengalami gangguan psikologis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran parental efficacy pada orang tua tunggal yang mengasuh anak berkebutuhan khusus. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan wawancara mendalam terhadap ibu dan ayah tunggal. Hasil menunjukkan parental efficacy yang dinamis pada tiap partisipan. Dalam aspek child factors, orang tua merasa mampu memenuhi kebutuhan dasar dan emosional anak, baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung. Dalam aspek social and family, mereka memperoleh dukungan dari lingkungan sekitar. Pada aspek parents, partisipan memiliki pemahaman dan perasaan yang berbeda terhadap peran serta kemampuan mereka sebagai orang tua anak berkebutuhan khusus.Unduhan
