SISTEM PENUNJANG KEPUTUSAN PERSEDIAAN PRODUKSI GRAFIKA DENGAN PENDEKATAN ECONOMIC ORDER QUANTITY (EOQ)

Perusahaan grafika, memerlukan sebuah sistem informasi untuk menunjang kinerja PPIC (Production Planning and Inventory Control). Keberadaan sistem informasi untuk pengecekan persediaan bahan baku ini berfungsi sebagai sarana pencatat proses alur barang, dari segi data masuknya barang, data keluarnya barang, pengecekan jumlah barang, request barang, approval barang keadaan barang, serta pembuatan kartu kerja, dimana hal tersebut menjadi acuan untuk informasi yang lebih akurat, update dan realtime. Salah satu metode yang dapat mengawasi sistem persedian bahan baku adalah metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), dimana metode tersebut dapat meminimumkan biaya total bahan baku yang dibeli dari pemasok berdasarkan jumlah pesanan sesuai kebutuhan produksi perusahaan. Metode EOQ dapat menentukan jumlah pesanan ekonomis yang berhubungan dengan penentuan berapa banyak bahan baku yang dipesan ke supplier dan titik pemesanan kembali (reorder point) yang berhubungan dengan kapan mengadakan pesanan dan dapat menghasilkan laporan secara rinci mengenai persediaan bahan baku. Dengan adanya sistem informasi persediaan bahan baku dengan menggunakan metode EOQ tersebut, kartu kerja (acuan penting antara preproduksi, dan produksi) akan berjalan dengan baik sehingga ketepatan waktu dalam pembuatan proses produksi akan terlaksana, serta kualitas dan kuantitas suatu produk serta sesuai dengan yang diinginkan oleh konsumen.
