In Limboto sub-district, there are 14 sub-district names, namely: Biyonga, Bolihuangga, Bongohulawa, Bulota, Dutulana'a, Hepuhulawa, Hunggaluwa, Hutu'o, Ayuhulalo, Ayumela, Malahu, Tenil, Polohungo, Tilihua. Based on the typology and morphology of the city, Limboto District is classified as a small town and is also the capital of Gorontalo Regency. Limboto District is dominated by industrial functions including agriculture, plantations, and fisheries. The purpose of writing leads to a discussion of the typology and morphology of the city of Limboto by looking at the history of the city's development. Data collection consists of primary data; namely the method of collecting data and information collected using observation, documentation, and interviews to see first hand and observe the condition of the City of Limboto. Then secondary data; namely the source of research data obtained from intermediary media in the form of theses or research journals. In the process of developing the Limboto Sub-District, it can be concluded that this sub-district is experiencing rapid development in the area around the Tower because the place is a trade/service center, office area and there is also a residential area which is the dominant function of the Limboto Sub-District itself. However, it is very unfortunate that this impact affects the ecosystem around Limboto Lake due to the attitude of the population which affects the wide fluctuations of the lake.
