RITME DAN KESATUAN PADA FASADE BANGUNAN UTAMA BERSEJARAH (KAWASAN BENTENG KOTA LAMA SEMARANG)

Kawasan Benteng Kota Lama Semarang merupakan peninggalan sejarah kolonial yang bangunannya terbentuk melalui beberapa periode masa. Pembangunan yang tidak bersamaan tersebut ternyata tidak membuat tampilan fasade bangunan yang berada dalam Kawasan Benteng Kota Lama berbeda-beda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bahwa ada ritme dan kesatuan fasade yang membuat kawasan bersejarah ini. Metode yang digunakan adalah kajian literatur, dan analisa fasade bangunan utama di Kawasan ini secara deskriptif. Temuan signifikan pada fasade semua bangunan dominan adalah adanya ritme beberapa elemen fasade yang mirip sehingga tercipta kesatuan vista.
Inner fortress area of Kota lama Semarang is one of western colony heritage in Indonesia. The process of Kota Lama’s Urban Development did not happened in a period of time. Even though the developments various, the key buildings in this heritage area still form the similar façade theme. This research purpose is to describe the rhythm and unity of Kota Lama’s key building façade. The result shown that most of façade element on the key buildings keep similar rhythm which bring visual unity of this area
