Pergerakan lalu lintas di ruas jalan Gajah Mada tergolong tinggi karena banyak daerah pusat perbelanjaan di sekitarnya yang berpotensi mengakibatkan kecelakaan lalu-lintas. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara derajat kejenuhan dengan angka kecelakaan lalu-lintas. Angka kecelakaan (Accident Rate) adalah banyaknya kecelakaan yang terjadi pada ruas jalan selama waktu tertentu dan dihitung berdasarkan panjang jalan serta jumlah kendaraan yang melewati ruas jalan tersebut. Sedangkan derajat kejenuhan merupakan perbandingan antara volume lalu-lintas (smp) dengan kapasitas jalan. Penelitian dilakukan di jalan Gajah Mada Kabupaten Jember yang dibagi menjadi dua bagian. Analisis pada penelitian ini menggunakan uji korelasi dan uji regresi. Variabel yang digunakan adalah derajat kejenuhan untuk variabel bebas, dan tingkat kecelakaan sebagai variabel terikat. Hasil analisis menunjukkan hubungan yang kuat bersifat negatif (-) antara derajat kejenuhan dengan angka kecelakaan. Hubungan antara derajat kejenuhan dengan angka kecelakaan pada setiap ruas adalah fungsi eksponensial negatif (-). Hasil ini dapat diartikan peningkatan derajat kejenuhan berpengaruh terhadap penurunan angka kecelakaan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat pola hubungan antara derajat kejenuhan dengan angka kecelakaan di jalan Gajah Mada Kabupaten Jember. Sehingga hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan pertimbangan untuk perencanaan dan manajemen jalan perkotaan.Downloads
