ABSTRAK
Minimnya lahan kosong di perkotaan membuat banyaknya permukiman kumuh, sehingga pemerintah memberikan solusi dengan dibangunnya rumah susun sederhana. Akan tetapi dalam penempatannya, banyak penghuni yang merasa tidak nyaman dengan desain yang telah dibuat oleh pengembang atau pemerintah pada unit hunianya. Sehingga terjadilah perubahan pada unit huniannya untuk memberikan rasa nyaman pada penguninnya. Begitu pula yang terjadi pada rumah susun The Golf Apartment Modernland terdapat beberapa perubahan yang terjadi pada unt huniannya. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat perubahan apa saja yang terjadi dan apa faktor yang mendorong perubahan itu terjadi. Sebagai sampel penelitian ini diambil 30 unit yang telah dihuni selama 4 tahun. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan menggunakan dasar teori N.J Habraken dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan kusioner. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa layout yang telah ada sudah baik karena tidak banyak perubahan yang terjadi dan perubahan paling banyak adalah akibat faktor stailistik sehingga pemerintah dapat membuat beberapa pilihan kepada penghuni agar tidak terjadinya perubahan.

ABSTRACT
The lack of vacant land in the city makes a lot of slums, so the government provides a solution with the construction of simple flats. However, in its placement, many residents feel uncomfortable with the design that has been made by the developer or the government in its residential unit. So that there was a change in the housing unit to provide comfort to the occupants. Likewise, what happened to the apartment apartment in The Golf Apartment Modernland, there were a number of changes that occurred in the housing complex. This research is conducted to see what changes occur and what factors that drive change occur. As a sample, this study was taken 30 units that have been occupied for 4 years. The method used in this study is quantitative using the basis of N.J Habraken's theory by collecting data through observation and questionnaire. The results of this study indicate that the existing layout is good because there are not many changes that occur and most changes are due to statistical factors so that the government can make several choices for residents to avoid changes.
